We provide the full range of services expected from a modern photography shop.

Cameras and accessories

We supply digital and 35mm film cameras from established, recognized brands such as Olympus, Konica-Minolta, Canon, Ricoh, etc. All our cameras carry a full NZ Warranty. We will demonstrate how the cameras work and make sure you're comfortable with your choice. To point you in the right direction, consider our popular evening course. A wide range of essentials and accessories is available, from digital memory cards and film to camera bags and tripods.

Film processing

We develop and print all C-41 process films, from 110 to 120, using a Fuji Frontier Digital MiniLab. 35mm prints are available in 1 hour, or you can save by using our 24-hour economy service. APS and 35mm processing include index prints. You can have your photos copied to a CD at the same time for a small extra charge? We also hand process old style Black & White film on site.

Enlargements

Reprints and enlargements up to 10x15 inches are available on a same day or next day basis. We can also print your photograph up to 16x24 inches if required. Ask for details at the counter.

Prints from slides (transparencies)

Using the Fuji Frontier, we print slides directly on to Fuji Crystal Archive paper. Here's a tip - if you have a large number of slides, it can sometimes be more economical to have them copied to CD and print from there, especially if you'll want reprints in future.

Digital services

Use one of our 5 self-service kiosks to order prints from your digital media. These Kiosks are in a private situation and allow you to sit in comfort to order and enhance your photos. 5 Kiosks also means no waiting and no pressure, spend 2 mins or 2 hours sorting and adjusting your photos. One of our staff will show you how. Just touch the screen to adjust colour, print in B+W or sepia, crop, and delete red-eye. Then choose quantity and size, and leave the rest to us. We double check your images before your images are printed. These will be printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper in as little as 15 minutes. Independent tests have shown these will last for a minimum of 70 years under normal conditions.

We can also copy the contents of your memory card to CD and make duplicate CDs. Our Online Ordering Software is available on our home page. Download our aphoto software, or collect a copy from our shop, then you can order your prints on-line from the comfort of your home. This system works best with a broadband connection.

Copies and restoration

If you have lost the negative for an existing print, we can copy it for you. Damaged prints can be digitally restored but, as this kind of work is charged on a time plus costs basis. We will gladly give an estimate on restoring any print to a near new condition.

We can also arrange for your video camera tape or movie film to be transferred to VHS or DVD.

Rest assured

All of the above services are provided on our premises here in Masterton. Your orders and precious photographs do not leave our shop.
